N-Cadherin Antibody (IHC)
100μl (Concentrated)
N-cadherin is a 140kDa Ca2+-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein that can promote and protect cell adhesion. According to literature reports, N-cadherin is expressed in a variety of normal tissues, such as neurons, endothelial cells, muscle cells and some early hematopoietic progenitor cells. N-cadherin can also be expressed in non-epithelial malignant tissues, including malignant mesothelioma, synovial sarcoma, malignant melanoma, epithelioid sarcoma, epithelioid angiosarcoma, and clear cell sarcoma. N-cadherin is positively expressed in ovarian serous tumors and endometrioid carcinomas, but negatively expressed in ovarian mucinous tumors. Renal cell carcinoma, medullary carcinoma of the breast, and sarcomatoid carcinoma also express N-calcin. This antibody can be used as one of the indicators to distinguish between mesothelioma and adenocarcinoma.
