Stathmin Antibody (IHC)
100μl (Concentrated)
Stathmin, also known as oncoprotein 18 (Op18), is a widely expressed 19KD intracellular phosphoprotein that is responsible for the integration of different cell regulatory signals. It is related to the control of G1-S and G2-M checkpoints in the cell cycle and plays an important role in cell proliferation, differentiation, development and organ formation. Stathmin overexpression is associated with tumor progression in endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and oral squamous cell carcinoma. Currently, CIN is mainly detected through p16 immunohistochemical staining. However, because the p16 positivity rate of CIN1 is approximately 70%, women with clinical diagnosis of CIN may be over-treated. In all adenocarcinomas in situ, invasive squamous cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas, Stathmin is rarely expressed in CIN1 (9%), while it is stably expressed in CIN2 (45%) and CIN3 (93%).
