DOG1 is a protein of unknown function but can be selectively expressed in gastrointestinal stromal tumors. The DOG1 gene (TMEM16A) is located on chromosome 11q13. Its protein structure has eight transmembrane functional regions, and it is speculated that it may be an ion channel.
