GATA3 Antibody (IHC)

GATA3 binds to the DNA sequence (A/T) GATA3 (A/G), a zinc-finger transcription factor that plays an important role in promoting and guiding cell proliferation, development, and differentiation in many tissues and cell types. It is reported that GATA3 is mainly expressed in breast cancer and urothelial carcinoma, but is rarely expressed in other tumors. GATA3 expression is positively correlated with all breast lobular carcinomas and 91% of invasive ductal carcinomas (grade I, 100%; grade II, 89%; grade III, 86%). At the same time, GATA3 expression is positively correlated with ER and PR in breast cancer. Negatively related to HER-2. GATA3 is also expressed in urothelial carcinomas, particularly in invasive and high-grade tumors. Therefore, GATA3 can be used as a differential diagnosis for urothelial cancer and tumors of unknown origin.
