Pax-2 Antibody (IHC)
100μl (Concentrated)
Pax-2 is a homeotic gene that is strongly expressed during kidney development. After induction of fallopian tube buds, the Pax-2 gene is expressed in the metanephric mesenchyme and is a key factor in the mesenchymal-epithelial transition. Removed Animals bearing the Pax-2 gene developed severe renal malformations and cysts, but no solid tumors. A study by Mazal et al. showed that 88% of renal clear cell carcinomas, 18% of renal papillary carcinomas, and 13% of renal chromophores developed. Cell carcinoma is nuclearly positive for Pax-2?
This antibody is recommended to be used in combination with other antibodies such as RCCM, CD10, CD117, MOC31, etc. to classify renal cell tumors; it can also be used to differentiate between liver metastatic renal clear cell carcinoma and primary hepatic clear cell carcinoma. A recent research report by O’Connor et al. pointed out that this antibody can also be used to differentiate between ovarian serous papillary carcinoma (Pax-2 positive) and ovarian metastatic breast cancer (Pax-2 negative).
