AAT is a glycoprotein that can label tissue cells and reticular tissue cells. In clinical diagnosis, as a marker for the diagnosis of malignant fibrous histiocytoma, AAT expression is positive in papillary thyroid carcinoma, while AAT expression is negative in normal thyroid tissue. In hereditary AAT deficiency, AAT accumulates in liver cells.
