C1q Antibody (IHC)

Immune complexes can activate complement through the classical pathway and the alternative pathway to cause allergic reactions and damage to glomerular tissue. In glomerular diseases, complement is mostly activated through the alternative pathway, and a few are activated through the classical pathway. Complement antibodies commonly used in renal biopsy are C3, C4, C1q, etc. C1q is isolated from human plasma and can react with human C1q. It is mainly used to detect the types of immune complexes in glomerulonephritis and helps in the classification of glomerulonephritis.
