C4c Antibody (IHC)

Immune complexes can activate complement through the classical pathway and the alternative pathway to cause allergic reactions and damage to glomerular tissue. In glomerular diseases, complement is mostly activated through the alternative pathway, and a few are activated through the classical pathway. Complement antibodies commonly used in renal biopsy are C3, C4, C1q, etc. C4 is isolated from human serum and can react with human C4c and natural C4 complement, but cannot react with C4d. It is mainly used to detect the types of immune complexes in glomerulonephritis and helps to classify glomerulonephritis.
