CD4 is mainly distributed in helper T cells/induced T cells and phagocytes. In normal lymphoid tissue, the expression number of CD4 is significantly greater than that of CD8, with a ratio of about 4:1. It is mainly used for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and mycosis. and the detection of T cell subsets, the latter of which cannot be used as a marker to distinguish neoplastic or reactive T cells.
