Chromogranin A is a group of soluble acidic cellular proteins with a molecular weight of 76-120kDa. It is widely distributed in neurons, neuroendocrine cells and their derived tumor cells. It is found in medullary thyroid cancer, parathyroid tumors, and paragangliomas. and positive expression in carcinoid tumors. This antibody is mainly used to label neuroendocrine tumors and can also be used for the differential diagnosis of medullary thyroid carcinoma and follicular carcinoma.
