Cytokeratin 17 Antibody (IHC)

CK17 is an intermediate fiber with a molecular weight of 46 kDa and is considered an epithelial stem cell marker due to labeling of basal cells. Literature reports that 85% of “three-negative” breast cancer tissues express basal keratin including CK17. It is also found that the disease progresses quickly and the prognosis of these patients is poor. CK17 can also be used to study the extent of cervical intraepithelial lesions, and its staining intensity is positively correlated with the extent of the lesions.
