Cytokeratin 7 Antibody (IHC)

CK7 is a basic cytokeratin with a molecular weight of 54 kDa that is present in glandular epithelial and transitional epithelial cells of most normal tissues. CK7 expression is positive in ovarian cancer, breast cancer, and lung adenocarcinoma, but negative in gastrointestinal adenocarcinoma and ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma. CK7 is a more specific marker for adenocarcinoma and transitional epithelial cell carcinoma and can be used in combination with CK20 and Villin to determine the primary site of adenocarcinoma.
