In normal tissues, CK8 can be expressed in almost all non-squamous epithelia, such as colon, stomach, small intestine, tracheal epithelium and transitional epithelium, and in ovarian cancer, digestive tract adenocarcinoma, thyroid adenocarcinoma, breast ductal carcinoma, and neuroendocrine tumors. It is also expressed positively in malignant tumors such as liver cancer and kidney tumors. It is mainly used to diagnose epithelial cancers and metastatic malignant tumors.
