Desmin is one of the intermediate filament proteins with a molecular weight of 53kDa. Expressed in normal smooth muscle, skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle and myoepithelial cells. The antibody can label leiomyomas and rhabdomyomas, and can be used to determine the myogenic components in tumors and metaplastic tumors, and is helpful for research on uterus, skin, gastrointestinal tract and other rhabdomyosarcomas and myoepitheliomas.
