EGFR is a member of the HER/erbB protein family and encodes a transmembrane tyrosine kinase. 90% of EGFR mutations in lung adenocarcinoma occur from the L858R mutation in exon 21 and the E764-A705del deletion in exon 19. EGFR(SP111) can be used to screen lung adenocarcinoma cases with E764-A705del deletion.
