Langerin is a type II transmembrane C-type lectin with mannose-binding specificity. Langerin protein is produced by Langerhans cells and is a 40 kDa protein including immature dendritic cells. This antibody can be expressed on langerhans dendritic cells and is recommended in combination with CD1a or S100 antibodies for the identification of langerhans cell granuloma and langerhans histiocytosis.
