LEF-1 is a 48kDa nuclear protein encoded by the LEF-1 gene, which is expressed in precursor B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes in normal tissues. It binds to the important functional position of the T lymphocyte receptor alpha enhancer, causing the enhancer to exert its highest activity. This protein is mainly used for the classification and prognosis of T-cell lymphoma.
