MART-1/melan A Antibody (IHC)

Melan-A is a transmembrane protein composed of 118 amino acids and is expressed in more than 90% of melanocytes and melanomas. Melan-A is also expressed in the adrenal cortex, adrenal adenomas or carcinomas, ovarian portal cells, ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, testicular Sertoli cells and angiomyolipomas. Melan-A is generally not expressed in tumor cells of epithelial, lymphatic, glial and mesenchymal origin, and is mainly used for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of malignant melanoma and tumors with melanocytic differentiation.
