NKX2.2 Antibody (IHC)

NKX2.2 is a member of the NK2 family of transcription factors. The gene encoding the NKX2.2 protein is located on chromosome 20. NKX2.2 protein plays a crucial role in the development and differentiation of the central nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, neuroendocrine and glia. NKX2.2 is expressed in normal tissues such as human brain, pancreas, pituitary gland and gastrointestinal tract. NKX2.2 has high sensitivity and specificity for Ewing’s sarcoma. It is extremely important for the differential diagnosis of small round cell tumors and can be used as a specific marker for Ewing’s sarcoma.
