p16 Antibody (IHC)

p16 protein, also known as P16INK4A, MST1 and CDKN2, is an important tumor suppressor gene. It specifically binds to CDK4 or CyclinCDK4 complex, inhibits the activity of CDK4, thereby inhibiting cells from entering the S phase from G1, and plays a negative regulatory role in the cell proliferation cycle controlled by the Rb gene. Used for the research of various malignant tumors such as small cell lung cancer, melanoma, and breast cancer. Current research shows that it is highly expressed in high-grade cervical intraepithelial tumors and tumors infected with high-risk HPV. It is also expressed in cervical glandular intraepithelial tumors and cervical adenocarcinoma. Therefore, this antibody is of great significance for the detection of cervical cancer.
