TRAP is a highly active alkaline metal-binding protein targeting phosphorylated proteins, ATP and 4-nitrophosphorylase. It is distributed in human alveolar macrophages, osteoblasts, spleen and liver. It is found in the spleen and liver of Gauche patients. The expression is increased in monocytes, spleen cell nuclei and blood leukocytes of hairy cell leukemia patients and the spleen of Hodgkin’s patients.
