TTF-1 Antibody (IHC)

Thyroid transcription factor-1 is a 4kDa protein mainly expressed in epithelial cells of the thyroid and lungs. This antibody is positively expressed in papillary thyroid carcinoma. In the study of lung tumors, it was found that the immunohistochemical results of TTF-1 were positive in most small cell lung cancers, lung adenocarcinomas, most atypical pulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas, and a few lung large cell undifferentiated carcinomas. Expression is negative in squamous cell carcinoma and most typical lung carcinoids. This antibody is mainly used to classify lung and thyroid tumors, and can also be used to distinguish lung adenocarcinoma from squamous cell carcinoma.
