VEGFR3 Antibody (IHC)

VEGFR-3 is a lymphatic endothelial-specific receptor for VEGF-C and VEGF-D. In the embryo, VEGFR-3 can initially be expressed in all blood vessels, but as the embryo develops, the expression of VEGFR-3 on blood vessels decreases and is restricted to the developing lymphatic endothelium. In the early embryonic stage, before lymphatic vessels appear, VEGFR-3 plays a role in the development of new blood vessels; in adults, activation of VEGFR-3 induces lymphangiogenesis. Meanwhile, VEGFR-3 mutations can cause hereditary lymphedema.
