CD34 is a single-chain membrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 110kDa. It is selectively expressed in human hematopoietic myeloid stem cells, lymphoid cells, vascular endothelial cells and some acute leukemias. Among vascular endothelial cells, the expression of CD34 in actively proliferating endothelial cells is higher than that in non-proliferating endothelial cells. CD34 can be used as an auxiliary diagnosis for benign/malignant vasculogenic tumors.
