Cytokeratin 8&18 Antibody (IHC)

Research literature shows that CK8/18 is expressed in single-layer epithelium or glandular epithelium in tumors or normal tissues, such as thyroid, breast, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract epithelium, etc. It is expressed in adenocarcinoma and most cases of non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma, but not in keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma. Therefore, this antibody is usually used in combination with CK5/6 for the identification of adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
