Glypican-3 is a heparin sulfate glycoprotein and carcinoembryonic antigen. The gene encoding this protein is located at Xq26. Overgrowth syndrome (Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome) is associated with this gene. Glypican-3 is expressed in the trophoblast cell layer of embryonic liver, kidney, lung tissue and placental tissue. In tumor tissues, Glypican-3 expression can be seen in liver cancer, yolk sac tumor, choriocarcinoma, and melanoma. In other tissues There is no expression in it. Existing literature recommends combined trials with CD34 for the identification of benign and disgusting hepatocellular tumors.
